Our Story

Founded in 1986, Zico Petroleum and Marketing Company Limited (ZPMCL) has grown from a modest beginning into one of Nigeria’s foremost indigenous players in the downstream oil and gas sector. From our lubricant blending plant commissioned in 1994 with a capacity of over 1000 metric tons output monthly, we have steadily built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability.

The company evolved as the 1st Lubricant blending and manufacturing company in the South South of Nigeria with its plant located in Benin City, Edo State.

Our journey has been defined by a clear vision — to be the pacesetter in lubricant manufacturing and petroleum marketing. Over the years, our products have gained recognition and approval from leading regulatory bodies, including the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP).

    Our History

    1986

    Company Incorporation

    Zico Petroleum and Marketing Company Limited (ZPMCL) was incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act as a limited liability company

    1994

    Blending Plant Commissioned

    We commissioned our lubricant blending plant with a production capacity of over 1,000 metric tons monthly, serving private, commercial, and industrial needs.

    1996

    Industry Recognition

    Our lubricant products received approvals from leading regulatory bodies including the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP).

    2000s
